How to deal with a swallowed card with the same bank
Contact the bank– When withdrawing money at an ATM next to the bank, you can immediately notify the security guard or go to the bank’s transaction office to report the incident of your card being swallowed so that the bank can know the situation and handle it promptly.
When withdrawing money at an ATM far from the bank, you need to immediately contact the Hotline inside the ATM withdrawal booth. When contacting, you should request to block the card to avoid unwanted situations.
How to handle when a card of another bank is swallowed
Follow the steps above and then notify the bank you are using that your card was swallowed at an ATM outside the bank to proceed with blocking the card immediately.
Then, quickly search for the Hotline number inside that ATM, follow the instructions to get the card back quickly.
Search and go to the nearest address of the bank to notify directly. The bank will then schedule a time to receive the card back.
If you are swallowed in another province where you do not have a branch or transaction office there, you need to immediately notify your situation. If the bank handles it promptly, you can get it back on the same day. If the bank does not handle it promptly, it will take 1-5 days to process. In addition, you can ask the bank to support sending it by post to the address where you are working or traveling.
One of the ways to withdraw money without an ATM card is to go to a transaction point linked to the MoMo e-wallet. You just need to bring a phone with an Internet connection and open the Momo wallet application to be able to withdraw money from the card simply and easily. The implementation is as follows:
Step 1: Access the MoMo e-wallet and select the “All services” icon.
Step 2: Select “Deposit/Withdrawal Point”.
Step 3: In the “Withdrawal” section, select the withdrawal point that suits your location.
Step 4: Enter the amount between 50,000 – 5,000,000 VND and the phone number of the Deposit/Withdrawal Point >>> Select “Withdraw”.
Step 5: Finally, go to the store you just selected and give your ID card/CCCD to the store staff to receive cash and you’re done.
